Beautiful Fall Craft - Roses Out Of Maple Leaves

These maple leaf roses make beautiful fall decorations. I'm not a crafty person, but even I can make these. These are super simple and cheap to assemble. All this takes is maple leaves and a little floral wire. The kids and I enjoy going around the neighborhood picking up leaves. Older kids would have no problem making these and younger kids love gathering the leaves. Just make sure they aren't brittle. I attached this "bouquet" to my door last year. You can go to this website for step by step instructions.

I know I posted this last year, but because I have so many new followers, I thought I could get away with posting it again. Just click on the link above for visual/written instructions. These make fun gifts, too! I saved all the roses I made from last year and have them strategically placed all around my house. If you do end up making these, please leave me a comment and tell me what you think!

God Bless,
Jackie

I remember these from last year! And I thought then what a great idea and did nothing with it. Maybe this year I'll give it a try.

Those are great! I will have to remember for next autumn as the leaves are all brown here now.
Thank you for visiting my blog and I am looking forward to reading more from yours.
Warm wishes.

Naturalearthfarm,

Youc an still use brown leaves, as long as they are flexible still. The brown leaves look beautiful, too. God Bless,

Jackie

BTW, did you see the girl in the background on that picture you asked me about (the one of Elisha in his superman costume)? She's holding his cape. Since I knew that already I didn't realize how cool that really looked. Thanks for pointing it out!

Very pretty.

I just read something on the left side of your blog that rings so true for me today that it made me chuckle to read it - "A messy kitchen is a happy kitchen and this kitchen is delirious!"

Thanks for the laughter today. Now I must go do something about making it a little less delirious. LOL!

Oh Jackie we miss our BIG trees(don't miss the roots though).
Wyatt started to say Gee-ma it's Fall we can rake leaves. He had to stop himself and instead said Oh Gee-ma the leaves. The kids miss those trees too. They were beautiful.
Your roses are so pretty. I have one of them, thank you. When you taught Stacie how to make them.

Candy,
Your leaves would be perfect for this! I miss your trees. It is weird to drive past your place and not see them. I bet you don't miss all that raking, though!

Great Hayride pics!
Those bloomers are ADORABLE! I want to see a pic with Hailey wearing them, pretty please.
I did sewing as a teenager and would love to get back into it. So far though, I'll probably just be sewing for my grandchildren when I'll finally have the time.
That is a "craft" right up my alley! Thanks for sharing! The kids can make their own too. And then when falls over... garbage!

Beautiful use of leaves! My sons, found a few big leaf maple leaves when raking, they tied them together with a rubber band and hung them from a plant hanger hook in the eave, I thought that was sweet of them.

About 6 year olds - I'd completely school my boys different now at age 6, than I did when they were 6. 20/20 hindsight, I think. Yes, work a little and take a break, have him do something he enjoys, legos, trains, cars, outside play - Remember this, I'm certain that you are spending twoce as much time at the schoolwork than a 6 yr old in school. This is truly the first year that my boys are staying focussed; all the years of {my sitting right there with them} agony are finally paying off. It's taken all these years. Also keep this in mind, I found with homeschool. Because the toys that are enjoyable are so close, and doing the schoolwork is hard & tiresome, it does add to the difficulty in keeping the child on task. Hang in there, it may take a while, but he will eventually plow through the work on his own!
